Giant Robot magazine is proud to present Urban Myths, a book of art by the illustration team of Dan and Kozue Kitchens, who sign their work as kozyndan. The Los Angeles-based duo's colorful style combines the pop culture influences of Japanese Superflat artists, eye-straining detail of British comic book master Geoff Darrow, and effortlessly cool whimsy of filmmaker Tim Burton. Rabbits, robots, blobs, monsters, and schoolgirls collide in a colorful, saturated, and sunny yet sinister universe. Kozyndan's work has been featured prominently in Giant Robot, album covers for Weezer and the Postal Service, and recently interactive production for Nike. Urban Myths, their first published collection, was printed in conjunction with a show at the GR2 gallery.

The good folks at the world famous Giant Robot magazine, along with curator Chako Suzuki, are bringing "Check the Halls" to the Cassius King Gallery. The gallery will be showcasing the amazing illustrations and paintings of five of today's hottest artists influenced by Asian pop culture.
