Shortening jeans

testconditions

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a pair of chip and peppers world war 2s. They are 32 34, im pretty sure they only made them in a 34, but they are really long and someone told me not to tailor them and explained something about its being noticeable and it would mess something up with them. I was just wondering what the best option for getting these to fit better would be.

Here is a link to what they look like.

He might be referring to the chain stitching of the hem that might be messed up if you tailor them. If you don't know what that is then it doesn't really matter all that much, not too noticeable. Just don't take them to a shitty tailor (i.e. drycleaners), and you'll be fine. They look better with a little bunching at the bottom, so don't get them hemmed too short and take shrinkage into account, even washed jeans can shrink a little. You don't want to look like you're wearing capris, in the end it's all up to you.
