would buy those shoes but I think they are a bit too small. I wear 10.5 in vans

If you're a 10.5 these will fit you fine. I just checked my Vans, I wear a 10 or 10.5, not a 9.5-10 like I previously thought. My van's were a gift so I had no idea.
