PC Speakers/Monitors

Don't bother with Logitech or any "PC speakers" for that matter.

I've heard some good things about KRK Rokit and Audioengine A2 & A5 monitors. Tbh I think you'd get more in-depth answers at some forum specializing in audio tech.

Yeah I'm with gkl, get a set of home theater speakers and hook them up to your computer. Paradigm Mini Monitors seem quite nice and the price is good, albeit a bit more than what you want ($145 more, to be exact). But they've had some great reviews.

Because you'll be using them on the computer I suggest getting a 2.1 setup, don't bother with surround sound too much unless you are going to be standing far away from your monitor. Even then at your price point I would suggest sticking to the idea of 2 speakers, quality over quantity, I doubt you would get 5 'good' speakers at $200 or even $400 (unless you dig deep on ebay or something).

Do some research I say, there are many audiophile forums around, just be careful not to be bitten by the bug, it's an expensive hobby :/.

I use a Logitech Z-2300. I know it's not best for pure audio quality, but it does a pretty damn good job for it's price. You can get it for under $100 now. When I got it, I was deciding between that and the Klipsch Promedia 2.1. Wish I went with the Klipsch instead cause the mids and highs of the Logitech aren't as clear...but the bass is crazy. I leave it at half way most of the time cause any higher and it'll echo in my neighbor's apartment.

Also, the subwoofer of the Z-2300 is bigggg.
