I was curious if anyone knew about fake Prps, would anyone bother making a fake jean that isnt really mainstream, Or are fake Prps around? I got a pair and was jsut wondering cause a friend of mine sold me a pair for $100 because they didnt fit him or something. I cant take some pictures if that will help.

post upclose pics of the denim, seams, tags etc.

i'm sure someone will compare a pair of their own prps to see, i dont' have a pair

Hmm, kinda play it by ear. CHeck for the Black rivits, and the hidden ones that the Prps carry. Depending on which ones they are the denim will feel different so....what kind are they. If they are selvedge, then check the purple selvedge. If they are not the selvedge line, then $100 doesn;t sound too horribly out of line, and i haven't honestly heard of people faking Prps yet...but i am sure they will start soon.

yea def. post pics of the selvege and rivits......... but i agree i havent heard oof anyon faking prps yet but it has to start sometime.....

Alright I love jeans and stuff but i have no idea what the selvege and the rivits are, if u let me know i can definetly take some pictures and show you.

Can anyone tell me what these are?

yeah, if you turn up the cuff on the jeans, and take a picture of the seam on the outside of your leg, that is the selvage.

rivets are the little metal things that are at the top corners of each pocket and coin pocket.

your prps may not necessarily have the selvage, but it would be useful to see the stitching anyway.

Ok so i took some pictures, i think i took them of the right stuff but my digital camera kind of sucks so the pictures of the rivets didnt come out to well, but im pretty sure you can check out the stiching. For some reason the photos arent showing but check out the links.

Looks like you landed a nice pair of distressed non selvedge PRPS for a very good price from here. Congratulations. Only thing I'm surprised at is the differing pockets. Haven't seen that before.

I thought that the camo right pocket was a signature part of Prps jeans

The non-selvage jeans have one camo pocket, while the selvage have two camo's

That's why I was confused. I'm rocking the purple selvedge which has two camouflage pockets and once I picked them up I stopped looking at PRPS cos given the quality they'll take a while to season properly.

Consequently I've never inspected the other models. I'd love it if they produced a More fitted selvage model though, cause I'm finding that as they stretch out, they're losing their shape.

I found the same thing with the stretching, and the density of the indigo. They stretch a good deal, but they have always been my "baggy" pair anyway....and yeah, almost a month of wear, and not sign of any fading whatsoever. Great jeans though
