to get this board rolling, i'm suggesting a thread where people can educate people and cut down on the 'use the search button' comments. how about one about dry denim. why you wear it, why you like it, how to care for it, how you care for it, how to wash it without losing color, what to request from the dry cleaner/dry cleaning tips, soaking it, shrinkage, etc....

Hi, I'm just new to the forum and I have to say that there is a masive amount of info around here!

Have been a jeansfreak for quite long now so it's hard to tell me something new about jeans, though every once in a while it happens and the bringer of the happy news gets unmeasurable respect from me.

Good work!

I'm well versed in sneakers and such, but the only fresh jeans companies I know of are Nudie and Evisu.

School me on some gear/tips for wear etc. I wear regular fit to a bit baggy, and i'm not willing to spend more than $200 on a pair.

thanks in advance!

Why do you feel like that bumba - STF is just a generic term for dry denim in their eyes - threating NikeTown is lame though for sure ...

I too am a NikeTalker - but have been well versed on denim for years . I bought a vintage pair of Levis on eBay approx 2001 and had them cuffed up and my dad literally stopped dead in his tracks and walked over to me kind of looking proud lol and said nice jeans son where / how did you get those .. I'm like uhh they're just Levis pops and he said no those are vintage kid . I said yeah I wanted some quality in my drobe and he said they are definately that .. They were redline STF 501 xx DS from 1982 or something not repros .. paid like $90 and I thought wow it costs to be the boss .. Now I know I got a pretty good price and own many more ..

What do i do so i dont ruin my white sneakers with new unwashed jeans?

Last time i had a pair of new unwashed jeans was a pair of evisus (might have been fake evisus tough). The made my 20th century adidas superstar bad boy all blue. Totally f****d up those shoes.

What i wonder is do all unwashed jeans blead like that so you cant wear white sneakers wih them untill you wash them? Im thinking of buying a pair of unwashed acne jeans and dont wanna f***k up another pair of white sneakers

Try putting tape on the inside of the hems. That should prevent them from bleeding indigo onto white sneakers.

Not, not all unwashed jeans bleed like that. The only pair of jeans I've owned that have bled were a pair of one wash Rag & Bone RB6b. I hear the Nudie SSLE bleeds like hell too. My Kicking Mule's don't, my RRDS don't, and I only had them for a day or so... but I don't think my Acne Max Raw did.

Always good links and advises, thanks! I learn a lot about denim with you and the other denimfreak!

I remember one day you were looking for a special book about denim, I got it! History of denim, from french de nimes invention to nowdays... Story of rivets, story of threads, cut and advertising, a bible...

Don't know yet how to put a photo, next time then...
