i have to say, the whole concept to reboot the series was a pretty gutsy move considering that despite the fact that last pre-reboot bond was universally panned, it had the biggest domestic gross in Bond history.

Seriously though. I was a little disappointed with the movie. I thought the "villian" was weak. Olga was fine, but didn't she play that fucking same character in Hitman and Max Payne? She needs to stop playing sidekicks to lone hero characters.

definately not nearly as good as casino royale, but it was definitely worth watching, action sequences were bad ass, but damn i wish there was more of that aston martin

This movie came out in Taiwan today (a week before the states).

It wasn't as good as Casino Royale. I recommend you re-watch Casino Royale before you watch this. The movie picks up a couple of hours after Casino Royale ends.

It's pretty confusing if you want this movie to make sense. It doesn't make sense immediately. You really have to abstractly think about things to make it make sense. In that aspect, it's kind of a bad movie.

The length is perfect though. Casino Royale was kind of weird in that you think the movie should end after Lake Como, but it continues into Venice for another 30 minutes.

Quantum doesn't have this kind of situation, so it's nice.

The action sequences are pretty good, but almost all of it involves chasing something, or running away.

this movie was a big case of blue balls. the whole time im waiting for something in the story to happen. and then its over. i guess bond does look cool as hell in tom ford and olga has some fantastic lips, but thats about it.

i had no idea it was teh same girl. i had my expectations so incredibly low for hitman that i kinda liked it.

anyway this bond was ok at best. i dont know what it was but the villain had one of those faces you want to punch for no reason, bugs me when movies do that like they dont have to do or say anything cause i already dont like em.

oh yeah i was kinda distracted during parts cause the main bolivian dude looks alot like my dad.

My problem with the movie was that they threw in too many plots and i often wondered if some scenes/characters really needed to be in the story. For instance the CIA agent, Fields and Mathers didn't tie into Bond and Camile's story line all that much. Hopefully they tie in the multiple plots into the third installment.

If I remember correctly Ford still owns Aston Martin and Land Rover and the product placement was horrible. At times out it felt out of place along with an empty hotel in the middle of a desert. seriously?

Olga is hot, Craig is a badass, I really want an Aston Martin, but would not buy the blu-ray.

You reach terminal velocity from a free fall at about ~50 feet. That being said, it's fair to assume that the parachute deployed just enough to slow him down to a speed that was not fatal.

I'm sure it would have hurt a lot though.

this is one of those movies that my expectations were so high, there was a big chance it could of been a disappointment. And it was, for the most part. The most emotional I got was when I saw the *spoiler alert* girl soaked in oil. So saddd. and did anyone else think the main villan looked like Marc Jacobs? anyways that kinda ruined the movie for me early on

I think people are expecting too much from this movie. It was never going to be as good as Casino Royale, there was just no way. I loved it. This Bond is a "blunt instrument" - but I don't that makes him any less the best Bond yet (Yes, even better than Connery). I don't think much was out of place - the US wanted Oil (even though there wasn't any) hence the CIA involvement. Clearly Felix is going to remain a major player. The girl was just a girl - nothing special, but she was associated with Bond, and therefore was a target. Mathis was along for the ride because Bond needed him, and he got caught up. The hotel in the middle of the desert and the parachute opening 10 feet off the ground - I'm sorry, what franchise do we think we're watching?

Can't wait to see it again.

i didn't have much expectations going in cos typical girl here i just wanted to see daniel in action..and olga is an added bonus (i thought she was hot in max payne) but i did like it..even if the storyline is a bit "eh"

what i didn't like was seeing so much ford..the aston is arite cos you expect fancy little toys like that but beyond the first scene there wasn't much.

which reminds me, is it just me or are they having less and less spy stuff or cool new toys that has technological capabilities beyond what is available to the immediate public..?
