Stansfield clothing

Brand I came across that I like. Don't recall ever hearing much of them before.

Not crazy crazy about it, but I like the look in general. I'll be keeping my eyes out - but wondering if anyone else has any experience with the brand.

Ive handled some pieces, among them a jacket similar to the one above with fireman closeing, aswell as beefy oxford with weird details. Quality and fabrics seemed right, but the pieces where over designed imo.

I do really like the look of the canvas hunting jacket above though.

Stansfield is the work our friend Dom Stansfield, the creative talent behind Rushmoor and PF Flyers. Dom's early fashion inspiration came from classic military clothing, and this was followed by a love affair with American sportswear from the late eighties, and even a little early nineties hip hop culture. He studied fashion at Manchester University, and whilst there, became influenced by some of the Belgian designers; Dries Van Noten, Raf Simons and Martin Margiela, as well as new British labels; YMC and 6876, also the Italian designer Massimo Osti- all good influences we think!

The Stansfield label picks up where Rushmoor left off but is slightly more focused on workwear and the Industrial Revolution (given Dom's family's Lancashire background). We like it a lot and feel it deserves a place in your wardrobe, nestling in between any of the labels mentioned above...
