H&M Opening in SF

I went to it, it was a madhouse. There was a line stretching down the block. The European tourists were laughing their asses off.

The line was being maintained to attract attention, not because the store was too crowded (though it was pretty crowded.) They let people in steadily, and more quickly than people were coming out.

I wasn't greatly impressed by the men's dept. Couple of nice looking shirts and sweaters, but the care instructions indicated they would shrink like a mofo unless line dried, and the construction was about what you would expect at those prices.

Being as this is Union Square we're talking about, not all the people were from California. Even subtracting the Europeans, there were a lot of midwesterners in the mix. Oh yeah and Forever 21 is hugely popular with the junior set so I am sure there is some crossover interest.
