use washing powder with no bleach in 60 degrees for better fading effect of the indigo and natural worn effects get more evident/40 degrees if i prefer darker cast

turn them back and shake them flat or they get stay press marks

Regardless, that's probably what pretty much every dry denim wearer does.

i fine washing is best in extreme situations, cliff dive fifty feet with little to no washing powder in your pockets, but make sure that your jeans are inside out. and then swan dive into the 60 degree waterfall while the amazonian paranas eat at your back pockets to give those amazing chew mark abrasions,

no but really, you pretty much have it right

but if you are going for something more natural dont use a washing machine, either take a hot bath or a shower with them, it cleans them off and washes off much less of the indigo so there is still mcuh mroe room for fading

I wash my denim very rarely, but when I do, I use Dr. Bronners in hot water with a long soak and long rinse.
