I have a pair of leather achilles in 43 and they swallow my feet. For reference i wear a 9.5 in chucks so these 42 should still fit me right?

42 would be more appropriate for a 9 in Chucks I think.

Well my 43 leather achilles do feel big on my feet man, they swallowed my feet right out of the box. I'd really prefer my next pair to fit snug. I find myself pulling as hard as I can on the laces when tying just to get a snug feel. I like my shoes as snug as possible with no slack without being painfully tight.

Im not too familiar with chuck sizing but I think they should fit you fine (esp since a 43 is too large). They run about half size - 1 size bigger. Also, since they are suede, they have more give than leather.
