So, my sister is about to have her first kid. I'll be an uncle for the first time and I really want to get this kid something classy.

I'm pretty flippin' excited about this shit. I need some ideas for a gift to get the kid. I want something timeless that he can keep into manhood. A piece to remember me by. Something charming and classy. From big dude to little dude. Ideas?

If you buy something timeless you should pair it with something practical. For a practical gift I would say clothing, a savings bond or maybe a gift certificate to the grocery store (baby food is expensive).

For something timeless you could always get him a nice watch I suppose, but whatever you do I would say don't just get something timeless, your primary gift should be something that will aid your sister and her husband.

why don't you take your nephew w/ u to a pro photographer? get a nice pic taken. mount that shit with a hermes leather frame. even a tiffany's silver frame is pretty nice. cheap and the silver ages pretty well (if he gets old and don't want that shit, tiffany's antiques hace the ability to re-sell). fendi makes some cool frames as well.

baby picture in a class frame is a nice idea, but wait a few days, you don't want some red sweaty lump with matted baby hairs in a photo.
