does anyone know if hbo releases these on hard copy or anything of the sort? ive seen a few that i liked so much i would like to own instead of just watching on tv while its available and then never again...

There are some that they dont release, I have been searching for one called American Hollow, about backwoods Appalachian family(ies) that was fucking crazy, saw it years ago and it ceases to exist now. There was also a great one about crack in Lowell, MA that had a boxer who fought Ali or someone and was now a huge crackhead, dude was white too.

I have searched before and there was a note about some documentaries not being available, I believe it was on the HBO site, will search again.

Even though it lasts up to four hours, When the Levees Broke does a really good job mixing investigative reporting on the failures of the state and federal government as well as the personal trials of many.

I'd say its one of spike lee's best

Remember the great intro that HBO used to have before movies, with the camera going down a street in a city and then into the country? I used to love that intro, anyway, here is a documentary about how they made it, I cant believe how much time they put into it.
