facebook is great as a networking tool and all, but for the most part, the function of posting pictures on there is to just get attention. just ask yourself how many times you've seen basically the same picture of a bunch of girls making kissy faces and one of them holding the camera out, arm extended. incredibly, it's commonplace to see people with hundreds of pictures of themselves on their profiles... it all seems so contrived and is kind of off-putting
