Titus, you say "The right sentence would be: Je pense que vous êtes très mignon" but "Tu es très mignon" is better because you have to said "You are cute ..." almost of "I think ...", no ?

'vous' is the polite form

It's ok but I am French and "'Je pense que tu es très mignon", I think that's little stupid.

Why said "Je pense que tu es très mignon" ? "Je trouve que tu es mignonne (for a girl)" it's better.

I'm am sure ... one does not say "I think you are cute" but "You are cute".

I think it means that you are cute but if you really translate it is : i think your very cute but it doesnt make sense

My French is pretty rusty these days, but I'm fairly sure that there's a diminutive connotation to the word mignon…it’s not so much ‘cute’ as ‘small and cute’ or ‘sweet and cute’. You might say that a little kid or a puppy is mignon, but not an adult. It’s something that a girl is more likely to say than a guy (unless he’s being camp I guess).
