When is the "limited edition/production" hype going to end?

While I agree that there's waaay too much unreasonable hype over a lot of the ltd edition/collabos these days, i'm still a fan of some collabos, especially when the collaboration is between a staple (like say, Adidas shoes for example) and a designer (Yohji).

Having the designer/artist add their own little touches to the item actually adds some value, imo.

That being said, some of the collabos that have come out/are coming out suck ass (dunks especially) yet ppl will still buy/overhype them.....

hype1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hp) Slang

n.

1.Excessive publicity and the ensuing commotion: the hype surrounding the murder trial.

2.Exaggerated or extravagant claims made especially in advertising or promotional material: “It is pure hype, a gigantic PR job†(Saturday Review).

3.An advertising or promotional ploy: “Some restaurant owners in town are cooking up a $75,000 hype to promote New York as ‘Restaurant City, U.S.A.’†(New York).

4.Something deliberately misleading; a deception: “ [He] says that there isn't any energy crisis at all, that it's all a hype, to maintain outrageous profits for the oil companies†(Joel Oppenheimer).

5.An extremely tired, extremely overused word used by every 'true sneakerhead' that is 'doing him' and 'buying what he likes', coincidently 'years before it was popular'. stfu, stop the rampant use of this word.

An alternative would be to stop talking about this garbage. Its never going to end, and you guys can continue feeling like you are the better person because you think you are being an individual, like everything you buy is not influenced by other peoples opinions, their clothing choices, trends, fads, whatever

fuck i hate this bullshit, im tired of it, ruined niketalk. People just cant stfu about this. With all of these 'obscure hobby' type of acitivies and pastimes, there are always the elitist pricks that feel the need to talk about everyone jumping onto their favourite things

^lol

that is somewhat true, i read superfuture before catching on to denim(its not superselvage), but i did register a name to post about jeans.

I realize that there have been alot of niketalkers coming in and asking the same questions, not even thinking about searching for the answers, but i read up on different things, i tried not to be another annoying niketalker. If my niketalk and superfuture names werent the same, you guys would have no idea i came from over there. (as well as if i didnt mention i was a member)

and wtf:

attrition
