Hair Mates is an awesome salon. Although most of the stylists are Japanese (which is a good thing in case you don't know), many caucasian people go there. I've never had a better haircut in New York. In my opinion you'd be foolish not to give it a try.

For you Philly guys, where do you get yours cut at? I've tried a few, and I haven't been to happy. I don't mind spending like $60 if it's a kick-ass haircut.

yeah she's the 600 one. but that's to have her actually give you a cut. the dude i'm going to see on friday cost a hundred. i normally was spending 70 but whatever i want to check it out over there. i figure if he's working there he's has to have some talent for cutting hair. but yeah if you want her to do it, it'll be like six or so.
