What type of computer system are you running?

Mine is a little outdated, but here it is.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

2.21 GHz, 2.00 GB of Corsair XMS2 6400 RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 512MB 8800GT

circa 1998, going strong

1gb pc3700, some low latency OCZ if i remember correctly

PC Power & Cooling silent 450W psu with sleeved cables

2x 200gb seagate IDE

20.1" Dell flat panel

etc

Nothing special, using a Coolermaster praetorian black aluminum case.

It was fun building it, not sure I'll bother doing it again though.

question:

I have a computer (old ass HP laptop) that has a lot of... MATERIAL on it. This laptop does not work because there is no power source to it.

Is there anyway to access those files still? Rip out the HD and hook it up externally to another latop or desktop?

I need those pics.

are you talking about a power cord? you can buy a new one.

^ 2.5" IDE HD will require an adapter to be used with a standard IDE connector; you could likely find one at your local computer shop

you could also throw the HD into an enclosure made for 2.5" drives
