Ok, here it is...What I'm looking for is a boot of the kind mentioned above. Approx. an eight inch rise, lace up, naturally, with smooth sole. Not the combat-y, Dr Martens thing at all. Now, I've seen them but have no idea where to purchase or who makes them. Tom Waits kicks them. His are really beat to shit. But they look damn good that way. Wear them with slacks, for a retro look, khakis, and definitely denim. Thank you for your attention.
