Egypt, need ideas on hotel

So, I'm going to Egypt for chilling out and catch some sun (and yes sure see the pyramids but hey you gotta do it sometime). Now I don't want to be stuck in a boring tourist hotel, but can't really find anything exciting. Only thing close to interesting was this:

I have seen nothing but tourist hotels along the Red Sea coast. I'm afraid your options are quite limited.

However.. you could hold off your trip to Egypt for another year and check in to the 7-star Serrenia resort next year.

I'm considering moving in there permanently.

Egypt is a big country dude. Where are you going? To the beach in Taba? Hurghada? Sharm El Sheikh? Cairo? Aswan? Alexandria?

Well basically sun and chill would be Red Sea coast, but I know that's probably all-tourist-style. Sometimes there can be places just outside the big tourist areas, just really hard to find. Dunno if anyone have any links? I have checked designhotels.com and tablethotels.com

The Serrenia resort looks awesome though.
