How did you get your job?

a friend past my name onto my current boss - sent a c.v., coverletter, which led to a 1.5 hour long interview.. started the following week - have been non-stop ever since.

I stayed in touch with my former Art Director from 4 years ago.

When I got fired, I called to ask him if I can put him down as a reference and he had an opening at the place I'm working at now. I had to freelance for about a month (full-time), but it all worked out in the end.

Can I ask you something? These sunglasses: they're really nice. Are they like government issue, or do you guys all go to the same store together?

I responded to an ad in the apparel news. I got a call back, was going out of town the next day, so I asked if we could meet that day in a couple of hours. Shaved, grabbed my portfolio, and took off. Short conversation later, given offer, no confirmation on dough, went out of town not knowing if they were gonna meet what I wanted. Pleasantly suprised on First pay day though.
