Men's size XS Gore-Tex jackets available?

Hi all

Does any fellow SF'er know of any of the nicer Gore-Tex shell manufacturers offering their jackets in a men's size XS? I did have an Arc'Teryx in size S which I loved but, alas, after shedding a few pounds it is now too big for me :(

A treat for anyone browsing, North Face purple label from Japan:

Thanks!

your best bet would be to find an "athletic cut/performance fit" jacket in size small. If not, a kids XL would be equivalent to a mens XS

I do however have a north face blue goretex jacket size xs if your interested (had been bought a long time ago before north face stopped producing xs's) and an small arcteryx ganna mx hoody (pretty slim cut)

Mountain Equipment do a slim fitting gore-tex shell. Used to be called "Matrix" but now seems to be called "Morpheus"

Does it have to be Goretex or any waterproof membrane? I assume if you're wearing arc'teryx, you're budget is high. I'm not sure if you're looking for a winter shell or a spring rainshell, but I wear a Patagonia Spraymaster, which is quite fitted in a Small (only available in their spring/summer catalogue, but sometimes you can find them on sale in the fall/winter.) I think we're probably similar in size, because I find my arc'teryx SM shell too big as well.

Many thanks Lloyd, they look great, I can't believe I'd never even heard of Mountain Equipment. I think I might just go with this. If anyone else has any ideas and links they too would be most appreciated :)

glad you like it! Field and Treck carry Mountain Equipment; they have a store nr Covent Garden. I really like the brand and they seem to make a number of slim fitting jackets, fleeces etc.

I used to have a top of the line Sprayway Gore-tex, fitted slim ( well, as outdoor jackets go ) and had a great hood/neck.

Synthi - If you just want performance, try a Paramo, seriously amazing, much more comfortable, breathable and windproof. Strange fabric, very warm too. They do unisex sizes, I have a large ( its the only size large I own ). Im kicking myself for being so stubborn and sticking with familiar trusted Gore tex and not switching to paramo sooner.

Also wear a technical tee, or a merino base layer - There is no point spending money on a breathable jacket if your vapours are going to stick to you first layer!!

Merino varies in quality ( personally I find howies merino quite scratchy in comparison with Icebreaker merino )

Ice breaker fit slim too, but they are baselayers so they would.

My next thing is silk technical tops actually

Synthi - sorry for going off tangent, really consider Paramo!
