jack london? I think thats the name of the place? I hear it is actually good, i have never stepped into the place

and as for James Cameron they didn't want to announce but i do have a distinct feeling that they are relocating out to either Brunswick st or Gertrude.. Most likely the latter. ;)

Yeh i hope jack london is ok mate. I have only heard not ever checked out. I saw some of the people going in and yeh was turned away by the clientele. I hope it is ok but yeh let us know. I don't know where the hell they came form either. They have some prime spots

Oliver lane was cool but i don't think the constant roadworks in htere were that ace. I also think it was a little secluded.. Best of luck to them.

jack london is definitely the place to go if you want slim fitting shirts, suits, etc at a reasonable price. I tried on some shirts at a few places and they fit like a fucking tent on me as the smallest size most places make is a size 38. ditto with the legs on the slacks, unless I want that 30's mobster steeze haha.

quality is pretty average, similar to peter jackson, calibre, etc. but the prices are reasonable ($100 for a shirt, $150 for pants, $350 for a suit jacket).

does anyone know any good places to get good slim/long fitted plain or simple looking tee shirts and hoodies around melbourne?

i thought american apparel would be the answer but really their shirts shrink and the material is shithouse.

I heard the brands UNIQLO & AAA have some good fitting plain stuff but not sure if anywhere in melbourne has that stuff..

let me know!

seriously what is funny about wanting to know about good fitting clothes?

either say something or keep it to yourself...if you are trying to be arrogant about it you should be in sydney not melbourne...either help or dont

I have not heard of anywhere stocking the above mentioned brands. They both have to be purchased through proxy services/overseas/online/ebay. Perhaps you should take a look through the thread and discover some things then get back to us with a more appropriate question. To clarify neither of us are located in Sydney nor Melbourne. I also don't think UNIQLO is that flattering, not bad but not really that good.

thanks tyro for a proper answer.. doesnt bother me much at all i was just asking if anyone knew anything i think that is appropriate enough.. i did look through the thread but unfortunately i dont really care about popular brands and spending lots of money on clothes so my question wasnt really directed to the few of you who are into that sort of thing...

also why are you on a melbourne shopping thread if you dont even live here.. i knew a melbourne person wouldnt be as arrogant as that..

oh well..

I usually visit several times a year and i am very well aquainted with what is available in melbourne.

As for my answer, it was forced from such a narrow minded retort..

perhaps i came across a little arrogant but i was more frustrated than anything else.

thanks

well probably best to keep your frustration to yourself.. i was just asking a question.. anyway not too keen on "superfuture arguments" ha so lets leave it there

but if you come across some amazing fitting plain stuff please let me know :)

yes you are right, it is a good idea tooo but not always possible.

sure i am not a keyboard warrior..

I guess if that is all you want to pay for shirts then you will undoubtably not be interested in any of the plain tees i like even though the fit would probably convert you.

haha what sort of prices are you talking about? I am all about the fit so if its absolutely perfect im willing to raise my budget to save me time

ninesuitcases a quick use of the search function would have made your question unnecessary.

tyro the UT shirts actually just use the regular basic tees. I find the 500 yen basic tees actually fit slimmer and longer than the premium cotton version. also uniqlo basic tees have changed slightly since I last bought a batch last year, they are now slightly slimmer in the body and about 1 inch longer :D
