How do I add a computer to a wireless network?

I'm trying to add a computer to the wireless network I use at home, but am failing.

I'm able to connect to the internet when I connect directly to the router, but I can't connect wirelessly.

I'm using a Westell 327w router, and I've gone to the ip adress to configure it, but can't seem to get it to work.

Help?

It's a dsl modem. you have to input the pppoe username and password. can you connect to other wireless networks? is the computer new? if it is did you run network wizard? vista or xp?

It shows the airport is connected but it wont let me go on the internets.

Yea. If I put the phone line into the computer, it works. The IT guy at work was saying I need to do something with my router/wireless provider to allow the computer to work on my wireless connection.

But weird thing is, it didn't work when I took the computer out of town to a hotel w/ wireless....this shit is weird.

It's a new computer running Vista. I did input the username and password, but it said "Wireless service will be interrupted and wireless stations may need to be reconfigured."

I don't really know what that means, but I continued anyway and I'm still not able to connect wirelessly.

I'm able to connect to my neighbors wireless connection, but the connection is really slow and I have a wireless connection at my house, so I'd like to use that.

if you can connect to your neighbors that means it's working. you need to look into the settings again. connect with a cable and while it's connected try to configure it again. i don't have a vista computer here so i can't really help you until monday.

It's not a Dell computer, but I guess that was the problem anyway.

I doubt I would have figured that out on my own.
