Is this Fred Perry real or fake?

I know there's a preponderance of fake Fred Perrys around, particularly on eBay. There are purported signs of "real" FPs, such as the buttons matching that of the primary color of the shirt, the Fred Perry name embossed on the buttons, spare button with the wash tag, etc. Suffice to say, I once bought a Fred Perry on eBay, all the signs of a real one - and then some, and later found it to be fake (placket seams were coming undone, and when I clarified with the seller, he admitted that they were fakes, but that he only realized later on).

How can one truly verify the authenticity of a Fred Perry? Especially given that they're now made in all four corners of the world.

Here's a Fred Perry I found on eBay that looks very convincing. I'm thinking of getting it, but I need some assurance that it's real. Very compelling photos:

Evidently, ratings and feedbacks and Power Seller awards don't tell much anymore - I have seen sellers with hundreds of ratings, 100% positive, selling blatant fakes from Thailand.

What do you think?

I heard this on the other sf; I think it applies to other polos as well. There is a strip of cloth sewn over the seam under the coller, on the inside:

The weave on this cloth should be different to that used on the collar and the main body of the shirt,as it is in this case.
