Veggie indigo

I was looking at some Veggies (nudies) and i was wonderng how it was that they are so damn badass looking,

how do you dye it differently?

where can i get veggies for less then nudie prices?

just about them?

Crate Denim has a jean that looks similar to the veggies in a 5 pocket straight leg. Made from deadstock pre 80's US denim. I think they were 250$ Still not cheap, but about half of what I have seen the nudies for. They are supposed to wear grey instead of getting lighter.

They're natural indigo (vegetable dye) as the name implies which usually means big $$$'s. Quality is the best I've seen from Nudie thus far. Nice wide ecru selvedge and a beautiful royal blue denim. Even comes w/ a cool hemp tee, a nice addition for your $440 bucks IMO.

I'd really like to see some "better" pics of the Veggies. A lot of people seem to like the color, but from the pics I've seen, the blue color looks too light and "unnatural".

it was the "unnatural" look of it that got me to buy it...I was really reluctant to jump on the Nudies bandwagon but after I saw that very unique blue, I just had to break down because it somehow justified it -- (that i wasnt getting yet another blue jean)

What is the difference with veggie indigo? Are most jeans synthetic indigo? What are the advantages with veggie?

i saw the veggies, and that color is just a bit strange. the price turns me off as well.

i prefer dark indigo
