In my experience Nike makes some awful running shoes. As a pretty hardcore runner, I've stuck to New Balance, Asics, and Saucony. Besides, who cares what you wear to work out, your gonna get all sweaty and smelly anyways.

I get so sweaty and disgusting when I jog or ride my bike that my appearance is the LAST thing I'm thinking about.

I wear Asics (Gel-Nimbus), but almost any running shoe from a company focused on performance will do. You just have to find a shoe that fits your foot. I'm thinking about some Mizunos for my next pair.

It also depends on how rigorous your workouts are.

You really care what you look like when you work out?

Sort of. I need new clothes and shoes to work out in, and might as well get something that looks good non? Especially with the prices you pay for regular workout gear.
