Halo 3 Hype in NYC Tonight. Anyone going?

For those of you that live in your closet and only visit style.com and atelier for updates, Halo 3's release is today.

There's a huge event held by Bungie that spans all day and I'll be on site covering it with two film crews.

Anyone from SF gonna be attending between 2pm-4pm or 10:30pm-1am? If so, shoot me a private message and I'll get you on camera!

Location is the Best Buy near Time's Square (44th/5th ave).

Tomorrow, Sept. 24th, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Best Buy in lovely New York City (the Best Buy at 44th and 5th), Bungie, Microsoft and tons dudes will be on hand until midnight, playing Halo 3 with the fans, goofing around, doling out tons of prizes, holding competitions and generally spreading the seeds of Infinite Win throughout the core of the Big Apple.

If that giant run-on sentence was too much to comprehend, here's the short and sweet:

If that's true, I'm glad to hear that, for once, there were who-even-knows-how-many other gamers out there who decided against abandoning their last vestiges of dignity and chose not to wait in line.

There were like 12 people at 4pm and 1,000 or so at midnight. Overall not a very big success. I was hoping for 10,000+ people crowding around a city block but what can ya do.
