American Rag in LA has a bunch of smaller sizes of the '47 mostly 30. There might be a size 32, i cannot remember. the copyright on the tag says 2003, is this enough to tell what LVC season it comes from?

it helps some, but what most people care about when it comes to such things is where or by whom the jeans were made (ie, BY Levi, particularly if they were done in SF...or FOR Levi after they had closed their US plants).

the best way to determine this is by the stamp on the inside of the top fly button.

of course, this doesn't matter to a lot of people

the fall LVC's do have a '47 re-issue, as well as a washed '47 re-issue. the new batch will be in stores august 18th.

i love the '47's. i have two pair and they're nice and slim and tough as steel.

I just bought a pair of LVC 501xx 1947 at the San Diego levi's store (Some guy bought them at the Frisco store, but returned them in San Diego).....and the selvage seams at the bottom of the legs really twist a lot toward the front of my shoes. Is this normal?

one of the d00ds at the SF store told me that it's supposed to be for all stores...but then he said that it's real hit an miss whether or not they get the shipments on that specific date.

i looked through the booklet last night and there are a few cool things in there. i meant to bring it so i could list the items for everyone, but i overslept. maybe i'll go grab it during lunch hour.
