shopping in boston

going to boston in 8 days, does anyone have any must-go shopping spots i have to see?

all i can say is Newbury Street has some good shops. Some are expensive but their good stuff. Again from what i've seen when i've gone and heard Boston really has nothing big to offer kind of like the rest of Mass. And im not just talking trash i live in Mass so i know. But the Galleria Mall is alrite which is located in Cambridge, Mass.

newbury street, south end, copley and prudential malls. scrap the galleria idea.

Alan Bilzerian on Newbury St., for hip, high-end stuff (Lanvin, Yohji Yamamoto, etc). It's worth stopping in just to check out.

Proletariat in Harvard Square is a really cool vintage shop.

Stel's on the last block on Newbury (by Newbury Comics) has Opening Ceremony and APC and the friendliest service.
