The "Rate My Song" Thread

There's been a lack of people putting up good shit to listen to recently, so hopefully this should help remedy that, although it's going to be a pain in the ass what with the whole "No links to downloads" thing. So find ways around it: Youtube, blog posts, legal sources (the artist / label), whatever. Brainstorm.

Here's how it works: someone's going to post a track. You rate the track however you please, then post up a song of your own. The next person rates that, and puts up a new one, and so on and so on... It'd be good if you tried to find some relation between the last persons track and your own, but feel free not to bother. Post up some information about the band / song, or not.

The only real rule is that your post must:

1. Rate the last track / post

2. Include a new track

That's it. Here goes.

Santogold - The Creator (Link to Blog Post)

Just got around to listening to the new M.I.A. album and it reminded me of Santogold and this ridiculously fucking good track from a while back. A little grimey, a lot catchy, but also sharing M.I.A.'s (with whom Santogold has toured) free-wheeling sense of pulling references from reggae / dancehall / wherever.
