it hurts...and it hurts. griffin played for the houston rockets, then got traded to the timberwolves...25 YEARS OLD..so much talent.

it sucks because he checked out of the same rehab i was getting into like two days before...but i would see him everyonce in awhile attending AA/NA meetings at the Right Step where i was attending back in 2004...soft spoken gentlemen...never profiled.

anyway he crossed the tracks with his SUV into a moving train...it took 4 days to idententifiy that it was him, his body was burned to gone.

yea, the rumor there with the press was that he was just there(in rehab) for dirt...but yes, i believe he had a drinking problem and im guessing other substances...im his same age and it just scares the fuck out of me....ken camaneti (sp?) was my roomate for a few days in a halfway house...after he left the halfway house, he OD'd 2 or 3 months later.

as for the trotter thing, yea i was surprised when i heard it on espn news.

I never really thought about this, but I wouldnt be surprised if it were a suicide, b/c on top of all of his rehabilitation problems, I think he was recently cut by the t-wolves or whatever team signed him. poor guy. philly guy too.

The train was moving pretty slow, so I doubt that he died instantly. Most likely scenario is that he was burned to death. Hence the top 10 status.

It's a shame his attitude, laziness, etc... never allowed him to reach his full potential. The guy was able to put up some killer stat lines but never could keep it consistant. I pretty much always pick him up for about a week in fantasy basketball as he always has a 1-3 week stretch where he gets real hot.
