How to wax denim

I really like alot of the waxed denim jeans that Dior homme and Helmut Lang are doing right now but the only place I can get them is on ebay. Does anyone know how they do it, what kind of materials/wax they use and how it stays on the jeans? I would really appreciate the help

it's applied to the bolts of denim before the jeans are made i believe, can't do it after the jeans are made. But maybe there is a way someone knows to approximate it

probably how they did it? dont quote me on it though!! you can buy some oldschool stuff from shops like 'barbour' or something.. i bet thats what they used..

bump... im currently looking for some nice waxed jeans, but i dont wanna break the bank. so far ive seen the puma x evisu ones that are coming out in a month or two, the black ones with the glossy finish. can anyone recommend to me any other waxed denim?

wow that waxing thread was very good reading. wonder why the op didn't get more rep. anyways from being a dior homme whore for the past few years i thought the "waxed" jeans were coated with some silicon material? I think I've seen the word "silicon" used in some ebay auctions and maybe some yahoo japan auctions so I wouldn't say they are official sources but just adding this in... (i don't own any of the waxed jeans so please don't ask me to look at the tags or anything)
