Atsui Seattle - "Cutting Edge Fashion from Tokyo"

Today was the grand opening for a new store in Seattle called Atsui. I was told that they would be carrying a bunch of Japanese brands and I've been really curious since hearing about it. I went in today and was very surprised to find, for men, Mr. Olive and Hysteric Glamour. The owner guy said he has plans to bring in several other brands, including Man of Moods, and is talking with several others. It will be really interesting to see what it turns into.

There doesn't seem to be a website or anything but the address is 90 Madison.

It seemed really good. Not too much of a departure from the Japanese pricing; Hysteric Glamour short sleeve t-shirts were around $125, Mr. Olive t-shirts were around $85. There were also some other tops, jeans, and jackets by the brands.

I need to check this out, doesn't atsui mean "hot".

Yup.

It is off of 1st and Madison; if you are heading from downtown to Pioneer Square, along 1st, take a right on Madison. It has both mens and womens.

The guy working told me that he had been in contact with Lounge Lizard (yay!), Attachment, and the Tokyo office for Number (N)ine. I don't think any of that is definite yet, but I was happy to know he had at least even thought of them.

90 Madison, Seattle ;)

ruach did they have Mr Olive jackets by any chance? I like the look of the stuff on their website.

Not that I remember. There were, off the top of my head, tank tops, some t-shirts, a red check button up, a white button up, and a pair of washed black jeans. I could be forgetting things, though.

edit: but I should mention that apparently much more is on its way.
