Having my Cavities Searched

Basically I'm getting on a flight today, and yesterday I spent most of the day with some pals of mine who spent the entire day smoking illegal-in-some-states substances, so I was coated with the stuff, absolutely. (I actually did not as I had to drive some off 50 minutes on treacherous terrain)

I took an impressive shower, but is there any chance that I'm still going to be pulled aside to have my cavities searched for something I not only did not partake in, but do not have on me? Anything else I can should do? Perhaps bury myself in a jar of peanut butter?

This is a pretty retarded thread, but I have had the absolute worst luck of my life these past three days and I'd like one goddamn thing to go off without turning a horrible mess, even if it is just a plane flight.

No one knows this better than me, but I figure I've earned my fair share of idiotic threads.

edit: I really don't even smell like anything anymore, but they have those machines that blast you with air and purportedly catch single molecules. Did I mention I am extremely paranoid?

The Reason I am Worried. We have tons of these at the San Diego airport. I am super excited about this.

I'm not sure why that's relevant, but as I said before I wasn't smoking anything, and yes, I did have my clothes on.

I believe you can refuse to go through these and simply be searched by hand, but that doesn't seem like an altogether great way to go through this either. Never know what extraneous plots they've thought up to get my to miss my flight.

I probably wouldn't be so worried if I hadn't been the brunt of every bit of bad luck I could possibly imagine for like three days. I guess we'll see how this goes.

It's not like I'm worried about all that much (no jailtime possible since I won't be carrying), I just hate airports and would like to avoid being pulled behind "This curtain, right here, Sir" for "A brief and cursory examination of your person" with "Pants down, sir, if you will."

Servo are you wearing the same clothes as you were when your friends smoked? that may be a problem, but if you showered and changed then your fine. Plus you don't have to get on the line for the air puff machine if you don't want to.

Someone else's, I've changed and showered since then. I'm sure that I'm probably good, I've calmed down now. This thread was mostly just a way to vent paranoia, if that makes sense.

theres no way you're gonna smell like bud unless you are A) wearing the same clothes and your buddies hotboxed a car out for a good while

otherwise the smell of marijuana does not have a tendency to stick to clothes etc unless smoked in a blunt (due to the tobacco)...i smoke both in my car and i never smell of pot when i walk into my house, cigs on the otherhand, i do.

Unfortunately, weed is illegal in all 50 states.

I've smoked a blunt a half an hour before going to the airport, I obviously did not get stopped, questioned, or "cavity searched". Actually they pulled aside because I had one of those coke blacks (coffee and coke in a glass bottle) in my carry-on bag and the bitch MADE ME THROW IT AWAY. That was like a whole 4 dollars.

Needless to say it was one of the more entertaining flights i've had.

as a frequent flyer and boyfriend to a flight attendant i've been through it.

naw man, the most they do is test your carry on luggage if you are selected for a search. they test your lap top, & bag for explosive residue.

Sometimes some airports will scan your clothing for this residue also. it all basicaly depends on the airport. each airport is diffrent. san diego is pretty lax on any testing. LAX is a little more uptight. Reno and Rochester NY are two of the most stict i've been at.

DC's airport is a fucking bitch and JFK is also kinda strict. SFO is usually pretty lax too. Although there are random times when they step it up a notch.

Also if you forgot to leave that expensive hair jell in your check luggage and dont want it taken away from you just keep it in your pocket. 99% of the time they dont notice what is in your pockets when you walk through that metal detector type thing.

the only thing you would worry about is the drug sniffing dogs at some airports. San Diego gots a bunch of them walkin through it. they are often small little dogs not no german shepard sniffing dogs. if they detect drug scent on someone they dont start a scene or bark or anything they just sit down on thier bottoms facing the suspect. So if you notice a small quiet dog sitting looking at you then you might wanna get ready to get your story straight.
