I was out with some girl whose close childhood friend whom she describes as basic af. 

 

She explained what these women do once these women graduate from school with some bs degrees like communication and media management.

 

They start working some bs 9 to 5 "marketing" job. Finds a bro to marry and joins what's called the "Junior League of XYZ (insert some woat city here)"

 

It's apparently a gathering of rich white women who pay expensive annual membership dues to attend mandatory board meetings, social events (like those parties that are in city magazines e.g. galas and bs charity parties benefitting people with [insert some disease here], and etc. 

 

she and i had no idea that it was "the thing to do" among these ex-sorority girls when they are in their 20s and 30s. 

 

paid friendship for life, i guess.
