Labels similar to naked music?

I love everything that has come out of naked music, but they haven't released a new record in quite a while.

Has anyone got any other labels/artists that do the deep urban house/nu-soul/chillout vibe thing?

...Gamm records outta Stockholm are at the forefront of the whole nu-soul thing at the moment, quality stuff, don't know too much bout deep house, I'm more cosmic but if you go to www.phonicarecords.co.uk or www.juno.co.uk you'll find plenty of choice there and you can pre-listen to tracks, they ship worldwide as well...Hope this helps...

yeah I've got some gramm stuff, more jazz driven in my opinon, very good nonetheless.

And I hate the whole 8 bit, nintendo thing, can't stand it. I donno if that is what Crystal Castles are going for or they're trying to do the overdriven, underproduced electro thing. I am trying to tell myself the latter because I really like them- punchy house basslines, tight drums and melodic vocals, just the shitty synths and nintendo samples are hard to get over.

Have you heard their remix of pop the glock? Soooooo good and no cheesy synths!

...Yeah, some of it can be very jazz driven alright...Think CC may outlive the whole nintendo thing, hey aired a couple of tracks that seem to prove this and have incorporated a live drummer into their sets, just a shame they've got lumped into the whole neu-rave thning, blame the klaxons remix even though that was quite tasty!...I'll check out some labels for ya tomorrow and pm you with what I come up with...

on the nu-soul tip, anyone into amp fiddler? I thought there were some good tracks on the first album, but was disappointed with a lot of it (his vocals were pretty weak).

But the second album (afro strut) I am digging. Good mix of funk/soul stuff, with some really nice melodic house tracks.

If you like Naked Music and DJs like Miguel Migs, check out anything by Francois K. He's an old-skool NYC house DJ who used to throw Body and Soul at Club Vinyl back in the day. Excellent sunday afternoon party (like 3pm to midnight) with classic house, deep house and tribal house all thrown together. He's got three CDs labelled Body and Soul Vol. 1-3.

Dimitry from Paris also has several good house mixes out. Check out records on Subliminal (if they are still around).....
