Chip & Pepper Jeans

Hi All,

I'm looking for a pair of straight-leg distressed jeans and I was considering these:

Any thoughts on the quality, fit, etc. of Chip & Pepper?

well i can tell you a bit about CP. the tuck in ww2 in a looser-leg straight leg with a roomier upper thigh, and i'd suggest going 1 or preferably even 2 sizes down... unless of course you want them hanging REALLY low. the quality is good - after their tshirt line ended in the 80's the moved out to LA and opened up a vintage store on melrose - golf punk, so they've certainly been exposed to true vintage. the back pockets are very low - lower than usual, so they have a good slouchy look.. hmmm.. other than than.. if you wanted something slimmer they have an OG - low slim with selvage, a bobby baby - low slim boot or a ikefinikus (something like that anyway) - low slim straight .... which aren't cut true to size. with CP usually size down and you'll be okay. hope you like them!!

oh and the tuck is the only CP jean with a twisted seam a la vintage levi 646, engineered, etc

in my opinion chip pepper is another of those hyped up hollywood brands like true religion and seven mankind. those dont look bad, but for me they dont have a certain image i'd like my jeans to have. also i dont think they care about denim consistency or special manufacturing techniques.

all they do is the cut and maybe the washes.

but the real work is the denim weaving and the dye.

but if you like them gor for it. tastes are different for a reason.

haha yea this guy on my hockey team would always wear a t-shirt under his equiptment... had the two dogs faces n stuff... looked like it was bought at a flea market...this memory of him makes me not go anywhere near C&P even to this day

BUT...GP IS AN OK SHOP...NOT HATING.
