Double Identity Sneaker Customs

Been doing the sneaker custom and clothing one-offs for some years now but want to expand my network. There are advantages and disadvantages to being able to sell all your stuff through a mailing list of a only a few hundred.

Plus I know that there is a small cult following of Double Identity on SF.

The name of my brand is Claim Goods. I have done projects with boutiques like The Brooklyn Circus and have won various competitions. I consider my designs for those more interested in fashion as opposed to sneakers (although the two are heavily connected- especially these days). Definitely not your run-of-the-mill customs.

Only the most professional and top quality materials were used. They wear just like regular leather shoes (though I wouldn't recommend skating in them). Can wear in the rain and clean with a toothbrush and soap.

Modifications

- US sz. 9 (fits like Chuck Taylor All-Stars)

- Hand painted details (whole sneaker was originally all white)

- Hand sewn on (100% real) ostrich skin on the back panel

- Added silver eyelets

- Hand made removable leather lace locks

- Hand sewn 'barcode' tongue labels

- "Claim-ed" shoe box

- 30+ hours of work

Yeah, just too over-the-top now. Better when they were plain.
