As far as an audio interface, I'm kind of torn between a cardbus solution and a firewire unit... I'm still trying to narrow it down, have any advice?

+1 on this. Actually, I know it's going to be firewire. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good firewire interface? Right now I'm using some M-Audio USB interface, but I need the increased number of inputs you can get with firewire.

Travis, C&C makes some nice stuff. I usually gig with one of the 15" brass drums, pretty tough to go wrong there.

Both are like 8 years old and are pretty busted (took them through high-school and many a drunken gig since). It would be nice to have some new gear, but can't really justify it since I'm not (at this stage) pursuing music as a career.

nice trumpet. have you considered getting a kanstul 3C? supposed to be very nice, better than bach.

every few years, i recommend getting your trumpet completely fixed up at a good horn place. you'll be amazed how well it plays after a tune up.

I haven't played much over the past 4-5 years and it shows. I played pretty heavily in high school and college, but just havent had time to practice since I picked up dj'ing.

^^^ those are big mouthpieces, man. if you only play occasionally, you'd be better off using something like a 3C or smaller.

Yeah, I was definitley feeling it when I played the other day. Ive got a 3C but after using those others for years it feels really tight. If I start playing more I might have to go back to it and work my way larger.
