What do you guys think of the British brand Reiss? I really like their cuts and styles.

Good thread actually; I'd be interested to see some other SF'ers opinions.

I, for one, have been to their San Francisco store on several occasions and have handled plenty of their garments. Sure, they are fairly fashion-forward, but I can't help but see them as an absurdly overpriced Zara (same style/aesthetic). Every item I picked up was flimsy and thin. Would I shop there if they charged the same prices as Zara? Maybe. Would I buy anything from them now? Hell no.

Wow, that takes me back. During my more dressy phase as an undergrad (94-96) I used to wear a lot of their tops - like a better French Connection back then.

They had some really nice leather jackets, treches, pea coats in the winter season... Even in the sale I thought they were still overpriced... I did get a scarf made from viscose in January for 35 pounds (approx $70), its SO soft the fabric feels great.

I got my trench from them during the xmas - I don't think the quality's bad at all. I'd put Reiss as one of the better high-street retailers.

I also have a pair of caramel boots that I got on sale from the NY store last summer.

I think they have come nice stuff, but I agree... completely overpriced.

i thought reiss was relatively new

obviously not.

cut is superior to most high street, materials used are slightly better as well.

but a bit too smart dressy.

a better brand imo is AllSaints

man i want their military hoodie that has the pocket on the shoulder. i saw some dude selling it in supermarket but it's light pink, I'd rather have a black one.
