wow what an NL finish, the wildcard race is insane with only 3 games left. Willie Randolph has got to be disgusted with all the recent Nats/Marlins losses, and the Phillies are basically guarenteed to beat Washington tonight, this should be an interesting rest of the week for National League baseball..

Clay Buchholz has been shut down for the rest of the season due to arm fatigue.

As exciting as it was to watch him pitch, I'm kind of glad he won't pitch anymore this season. It's more important to have a healthy Buchholz for next year (and many years to come) than to have him throw a few innings in the playoffs and risk serious injury.

This opens up another spot on the 25-man playoff roster as Buchholz would have certainly made the cut.

If the Rockies win tomorrow, then Matt Holliday should win the NL MVP. If they lose, then Rollins should win it.

Padres lost @ brewer; Now play a tie-breaker with the Rocks 4 the NL wild card tomorrow.

At least Peavy, SD's ace is pitching. But they're playing in Colorado at coors field, where lots of runs are scored. Hope the Padre's bats show up for this do-or-die game.....
