SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

I'm trying to see if there's any interest in my Sugar Cane x Begin jean. I'm not sure I want to sell it yet but am definately sitting on the fence. I've only been into "quality" denim since early Feb. this year and I've been learning a lot about what I like in terms of cut.

This jean is a repro (1947 I think) cut and as I'm defining my tastes, I'm realizing that I'm not a huge fan of the "anti-fit" fit. I love the denim and the way it was made and wish it was cut like my KMW AWA. My favorite fitting jeans right now are my Somet Slim 008 and my KMW AWA. This gives you an idea as to why I'm considering letting this jean go.

I just did a search on 10 different rakutens and they're all sold out of this size (32x34 one wash).

I've worn them 22 days and have done 1 hot soak, 1 hot wash (Dr. Bronner's) followed by a hot soak, and thrown it in the dryer. These look the same now as they did brand new. I had a post up as to why these weren't fading after 21 days of wear and was told that it is the quality of the dyeing process and the natural indigo.

So I paid $305 shipped for this jean but then was raped by US Customs for another $54. So all in all this jean cost me $359.

If anyone is interested please PM me with a fair and reasonable offer.

Here's the description of the jean from the Sugar Cane website:

“BEGIN” is a popular band to represent Japan, composed with three players all from the island of Ishigaki-Jima in Okinawa. Sugar Cane staffs and Begin member has developed the original Sugar Cane fiber jeans together for many years. The SINGER’S JEANS released recently is the first collaboration model with BEGIN and Sugar Cane.

In common with denim fabric, the warp yarn is indigo dyed while the weft yarn would be natural white color. With the fabric for the collaboration project, the warp yarn is an even dyed with Okinawa indigo and the weft is Ikat dyed. Dyestuffs for the fabric are all from the plants of BEGIN’s hometown, Ishigaki-Jima. Raw material, Sugar Cane fiber for the yarn is from sugar cane plantation of Ishigaki-Jima as well and dyed by distinctive and traditional dyeing method of the island. Weft yarns are dyed with a blend of dyestuffs from distinctive vegetation in the island, the yellow dyestuff from Fukugi-grass, the red from Coolu-potato, Indigo color from the Ryukyu Indigo and the green from a combination of Fukugi-grass and Ryukyu Indigo, the 4 colors make the distinct Ikat look on the welt yarn.

Weaving process is the “Minsa-Weave” technique adopted from the early days of Okinawa islands, that give a unique appearance on the denim. Opinions and ideas from the BEGIN band members are built in. Needless to say, it is a perfect pair of jeans for the musicians to wear.

Thanks Tarmac. Hmmmmm... how about $350 as the asking price? I know that's basically what I paid for it but you can't get them anymore and I really didn't beat on them since I don't skate or ride a bike, rather sit in an AC office on my ass all day.

So $350 is my asking price. If anyone is interested, please pay me that or make me a reasonable offer.

Thanks!

FYI. BiG puts all their one wash jeans in the dryer. It doesn't kill your jeans. I don't know who started that rumor. It helps the jeans shrink as much as they're going to and BiG started the onewash program to help people with fitting.
