they are still around. the male version "gal-o" is getting bigger, but they are different then their older/original brethren.

kogal rule shibuya, but won't go past tokyu hands (it's a rule, because there starts the turf of the b-boys).

gal-o were just the male counterparts to kogal/gal. recently they have had a interest in fashion (it seems everything is merging recently). they opt for wearing skinny pants, leather jackets (rather then huge cocolulu and the older semi-hiphopesque-silouette unifroms), flamboyant leather dress shoes/boots and always have huge/visual-kei haircuts. they still hang out in the same places, say the same dumb stuff (their specific lingo and accents haven't significantly changed from what i've heard, but i'm no expert), and still run with the kogal/gal-packs as opposed to their appearance (where the unexperienced eye would think they would be hanging out with the lolitas in harajuku (depending on their complexion as well)...liberally observed of course).

the geographics part- i was referring to the start of sendagaya to the edge of tokyu hands where the record shops start (and the japanese b-boys/girls run). obviously this rule is not enforced, but encouraged by some of the higher kogal elitest running the shibuya gal-tours. dogenzaka is pretty much a free for all, because people are there to get laid. obviously the club "womb" is specifically for gal-o/kogal patronage only, but you will get your stragglers in search of kogal pussy.

ganguros will both disgust and amaze you, but I've never seen a picture of what really defines a kogals.

alot of people confuse joshikosei for kogal. many kogal are joshikosei or vice versa, but not all joshikosei are kogal.

btw i love sailor seifuku uniforms.
