Just saw these on Highsnobiety, the double breasted sneakers looking pretty interesting. Definitely something you don't see everyday. What do you all think?

basically, i've always wanted to wear spats, but i typically wear sneakers.

this looks like a very, very happy medium.

and, they're not too pricy. someone better be hooking up a japan proxy

in a few months.

i cant decide whether i love them or hate them. the lo ones look boring as hell, but the double breasted are pretty interesting.

they look sorta like kids shoes in that picture....definitely pretty unique. i think they may grow on me.

I'm with you on the spats front, but these seem a little too... costumey. I can imagine these two vividly in a broadway about a "loose cannon sailor who doesn't play by the rules" and "turns his boots into sneakers, much to the chagrin of the captain" who then "bursts into song and dance about respecting the uniform."

are the buttons actually functional? or just decorative? i have the feeling there is hidden velcro.... if not, those buttons must be sewn super tight.

Looks like they do button up. That makes them a little cooler in my book. I can see these looking good with shorts or tapered jeans...

On closer inspection they're not quite as sextacular as I though, I don't like that toe design at all.
