Northeastern university in Boston?

Anybody know anything about this school? I got a pretty good offer to go over there. I'm coming from California and know very little about the school beyond what's posted on their website. Anyone already attending/attended in the past?

I also know painfully little about Boston. What are the good/bad places to go? Where is a good neighborhood to live? How is the rent? Places to avoid? Any help would be super cool.

i know someone who goes there and she absolutely loves it.

i've visited a few times and it is pretty nice there. i'm assuming you're going there for your first year, so you won't have to worry about housing cuz you'll probably be living on campus. one of the top universities to go to if you want good internships. i don't know much more about it, what are you planning on studying?

I'm going for my PhD (for political science). They want me to TA too. I think they have grad student housing available on campus, but I may be going with my girlfriend (these things aren't 100% certain yet) and would need to find housing off campus.

Thanks for the info though. Any other info about the city/location/where to go/etc would be great.

northeastern is in a great area of boston-- lots of little restuarants around, close to back bay, and the huntington ave area. its pretty convenient, you can get anywhere on the T, albiet not as convenient as NYC it still does its job.

let me know if you need off-campus housing, i have a bunch of apartments in that area for lease.

yea, i've heard good things about its co-op program. YOu should def. check it out.

a one bedroom is about 1100-1200, for a studio 900.

Thats heat and hot water included.
