Spray painting raw jeans

Hey guys, just wondering, i made some jeans a while ago, they are made of raw stretch denim and they are a skinny fit. If i were to spray paint them black, would that be alright, it may sound stupid but just thought that the chemicals may somehow sink into my skin or something LOL.i was thinking about how cool theyd look as theyd aged, or would the paint strip if i were to wash them?

opinions? no?

i am thinking it would look cool if they where like a super stonewashed color and then you spray painted them. I used to paint solid white squares on black aa tee shirts with house paint and I experienced no chaffing of any kind.

sounds like an interesting idea...but why choose spray paint? what are you trying to achieve?

well itd be like a coated denim alternative or something or nothing

I can't believe no one has mentioned this.

The stench of spray paint is going to be on your skin unless you let those things air out for a week otherwise people around you are going to wonder, "Hey, who's got the spray paint?"

yeah you are probably right about the smell, might do it on an old pair for some experimenting
