How to prevent crotch tear?

Hi. Sorry if this has been answered before, but I searched and couldn't find a specific answer. I've been wearing my Nudie RRDS for 7 weeks straight. I noticed that the crotch area has been thinning and stretching a LOT more compared to the rest of the jeans, as expected. Well the idea of letting it rip and patching it seems kinda bummy to me. I know that washing would strengthen the cotton back up but I'm not washing prematurely. Would a cold soak help restrengthen the area without loss of indigo and messing up my fading? Thanks.

theres not much you can do, the crotch is the part of your jeans that recieve the most amount of stress, even just from walking or crossing your legs. the best thing you can do is repair them as soon as there are signs of breakage.

or, tuck your balls in and go mangina 24/7.

I think the crotch problem comes from the fact that not only is it an incredibly stressed part of the jeans and it's constantly getting heated up by your junk and collects a good amount of extra grime from its position. My advice is this, take your jeans and if a hole has not already developed, gently wash the crotch only with a gentle detergent. I do this on all my raw jeans. I just wash the crotchal area to keep it soft so its not constantly scratching against its own hard raw surface and leave the rest of the jean untouched. I use cold water but i always use that so I dont know if its the best.
