I've lost my whiskers!

I soaked my Diors after 6 months of wear last night, not because they were dirty but because they had stretched out so much that I no longer liked how they sat.

Soaked in room temp water for 2-3 hours with no detergent and as little agitation as possible, however TONS of indigo came out. The bathwater was almost black!

Anyways, took them out, hung them out to dry and was happy to see this morning that they were pretty much as dark as before.

HOWEVER ... all my fades have gone! Whiskers, Honeycombs and the fades around the ankles where they were stacked (what's the name for this?). All gone

Seems that the indigo that bled out re-dyed the faded areas.

Is this normal?

since so much indigo came out in the bathwater, it sounds like it very well could have redyed your faded areas. but i'm guessing the indigo that has redyed your faded areas will fall pretty quickly.

have your pocketbags turned blue?
