Cigarette burn

I did a search and didn't see this covered anywhere, so hopefully someone can give me some advice. I managed to (drunkenly) get a small cigarette burn right near the crotch on my Nudie SSDS that I've been breaking in for a couple months now. It's really not that bad and I kinda like that it adds to the whole lived in feel. I'm just wondering if the hole is gonna get worse and if I should get it reinforced asap or if since the threads were burned, if it will stay like it is. Anyone have any experience with this?

the egdes of the burnt hole will slowly become frayed and probably get bigger after time, especially after washing.

You need to fix that asap. Cotton unlike synthetic fibers does not self mend itself when burnt. You now have a weak spot in your jeans in a high stress area. It could just tatter and fray or you could take a large step/stretch/climb up a stair and it could rip a large hole in your crotch.

get them patched and get them to match the thread to the the orange stitching. I had to do it for a rip on my rrds and now the patch is my favorite part of jean.
